Tinplate

Electrolytic Tinplate (ET) is a low carbon steel coated with tin by electrodeposition. Tinplate is often used for three-piece can welded bodies. Tata Steel also supplies products suitable for Drawn and Wall Ironed (DWI) and Draw Redraw (DRD) applications.

TFS/ECCS

ECCS (Electrolytic Chromium Coated Steel) is often called Tin Free Steel (TFS). ECCS is used in the production of DRD two-piece cans and components that do not have to be welded, such as ends, lids, crown corks, twist-off caps and aerosol bottoms and tops.
